Deified Tactical Roguelite

I wanted to point out the 1.0 release of an interesting roguelite with tactical combat. Deified, developed by French studio Unexpected and published by Goblinz Publishing, is available today, September 21, 2026, for PC. The game launches at $14.99/€14.99, with a 10% discount available during its first two weeks.

Deified Tactical RPG

The most interesting part is its approach to character development. Much of your strategy comes from collecting relics and deciding how to use the limited slots available to you.

Relics of the same type can activate synergies, while collecting multiple fragments of an identical artifact lets you restore and improve it. Every slot also comes with its own bonus and drawback, so choosing where to place each relic can significantly change your setup during a run.

Deified Tactical RPG

Combat is turn-based, but Deified removes several resources normally associated with tactical RPGs and roguelites. There is no mana, no action-point system, and no ability cooldowns, meaning your available skills can be used every turn. The idea is to place greater emphasis on choosing the right action and creating effective relic combinations instead of waiting for resources to recharge.

Between runs, skill trees and unlockable rooms gradually expand the options available to you. Bosses introduce another variable through unique curses that can interfere with your plans, and there are seven of them to defeat during the journey.

There is also a small narrative setup tying everything together. You play as Sator, who sets out against the Lords responsible for corrupting the Gold of the Rhine and turning it into powerful relics carrying eternal curses. His goal is to defeat them and eventually return the Gold to his people. Deified is available now on Steam for PC.
