Super Mario is coming back in May 2024
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on May 23, bringing back the cherished turn-based RPG with revamped graphics and a host of new features to enhance playability.
Originally released for the GameCube in 2004, this adventure follows Mario’s quest, aided by Princess Peach’s map and a vibrant cast of characters, to outmaneuver the X-nauts and secure the treasure hidden behind the Thousand-Year Door. This refreshed version promises an even more engaging experience with its updated visuals and gameplay improvements.
Tactical RPG Crown Wars Postponed
For sure, it is one of the most anticipated for me, but the release of Crown Wars: The Black Prince has been postponed to May 23, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Switch version following shortly. This delay, announced following a beta and demo phase, will allow further fine-tuning and incorporation of player feedback for an optimal gaming experience.
A new trailer has been released, showcasing the game’s domain management feature, where players rebuild and strategize from their base. The game offers a mix of turn-based tactics and dark fantasy set in a dystopian medieval period.
A great comeback On PS4 & Xbox One Users
Now, it’s great news for Xbox and PS users. The Grandia HD Collection is launching on PS4 and Xbox One on March 26, 2024, featuring enhanced UI, sprites, texture art, widescreen support, and better cinematics. It also includes a Hard Mode for Grandia II, multiple audio and subtitle languages, and achievements/trophies.
The collection offers over 80 hours of gameplay with a story centered around Justin exploring ancient ruins. Pre-orders through Limited Run Games start on March 15, 2024.
Monster Hunters, it’s your turn
Monster Hunter Stories Collection is launching on June 14, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary. This collection includes a remastered Monster Hunter Stories with enhancements such as HD graphics, full voiceovers, and a museum mode, alongside Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for PS4.
Pre-orders offer special bonuses, and the collection promises extensive RPG adventures with deep narratives and engaging gameplay.
Promising JRPG is ready for Release This Month
Listen to my advice; don’t sleep on this one. Terra Memoria is gearing up for its release on March 27, offering a cozy turn-based RPG experience across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam. Developed by La Moutarde and published by Dear Villagers, the game invites players into a world filled with exploration, puzzle-solving, and crafting.
With a unique blend of 3D and pixel art visuals accompanied by authentic music, players will embark on road trips, set up camps, craft and build, and dive into an investigative journey to unravel the mysteries surrounding crystals and ancient machines.
Award-winning JRPG gest a new co-op mode
Sabotage Studio announced a three-player local co-op mode for its award-winning Sea of Stars called Single-Player+ without a specific release date. This mode will allow three players to enjoy the game’s adventure together, with each engaging in traversal and combat.
A new ‘co-op timed hits’ mechanic is introduced for this cooperative play. Sea of Stars has already reached over five million players since its launch across multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
WitchSpring R is heading on Playstation 5 and Switch
We reviewed it and covered it with some guides, and now WitchSpring R is set for a release in the second half of 2024 on PlayStation 5 and Switch, with KIWI WALKS also planning a physical edition in Japan. The game, an alchemy RPG first launched on PC and coming to Xbox One, revolves around a witch evading warriors.
It combines training, collecting, and exploring elements, allowing players to train their witches, fuse magic ingredients, craft items, and tame monsters. The narrative and the witch’s fate evolve based on player choices and the protagonist’s development.
Tactical RPG Highwater Now available
Highwater is an adventure game developed by Demagog Studio set in a post-apocalyptic world submerged underwater. Players guide Nikos and his friends through a flooded Earth, engaging in turn-based combat and exploration.
The game focuses on a journey to escape to Mars amid the backdrop of the Great Climate Catastrophe. With a mix of humor, strategy, and survival, it offers a narrative-driven experience about camaraderie and resilience. Highwater launched on March 14, 2024, and is currently on a 20% discount on Steam until March 21.
Into The Breach-Inspired Tactical Strategy, South Pole Bebo Announced
South Pole Bebo is a new turn-based strategy game set to debut at major gaming events like GDC and GCA in San Francisco in March 2024. Inspired by Into The Breach, it introduces deckbuilding and PvPvE mechanics, challenging players to eliminate opponents on a 9×9 board with unique characters and zombies.
Early Access is planned for PC in June 2024. Sentience Inc., known for AI gaming tech, promises a personalized gameplay experience.
A New Turn-Based MMORPG From RuneScape Creator
Andrew Gower, co-creator of RuneScape, has announced Brighter Shores, a new MMORPG that is now listed on Steam. This adventure game promises magic, mystery, and extensive gameplay, including diverse professions and a rich story.
Set in Hopeport town, players will battle a corrupting force in Hopeforest, assuming roles like Cryoknight, Guardian, or Hammermage. Unlike traditional grid-based MMORPGs, Brighter Shores features responsive, non-tick-based movement, promising an engaging experience.
Tactical RPG With Super Heroes Introduce a New Character
The promising tactical RPG Capes features brand-new superheroes and has released a new trailer introducing Rebound, one of the main characters. Below is the trailer for you to check out.
Remember, Capes doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to launch on PC and Consoles sometime this year.
Monster Catching RPG Now Available on Switch
Monster Tribe is a monster-catching RPG by Boundless Games, now available on Nintendo Switch. It invites players on an adventure in the mystical land of Akama, where they can uncover, befriend, and utilize the unique creatures known as Ateyan.
The game features a rich world with 72 collectible creatures, strategic turn-based combat, and puzzles within ancient towers. It aims to provide a memorable experience with stunning visuals and immersive gameplay. Until April 4th, 2024, it’s available for a special price of $17.99, after which it will be $19.99.
Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is preparing for the launch with a new trailer
The latest trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was unveiled today, showcasing action, characters, and battles to get excited about. Set to release on April 23rd, the game boasts a six-character battle system, over 100 playable characters, and a mix of 2D sprites and 3D backgrounds.
Developed by the legendary team behind Suikoden, it aims to refresh classic JRPG elements for modern players. It will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
New Roguelike RPG Now Available on PC
Subterrain: Mines of Titan is a turn-based survival RPG by Pixellore Inc., where players awaken in an abandoned mining camp on Titan.
