The Manga Deckbuilding roguelite hits Switch with Update 1.2.0, adding five playable guild members and 170-plus new cards on PC and console.
FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS is now available on Nintendo Switch as of January 7, 2026, bringing ginolabo’s deckbuilding roguelite to a second platform under Kodansha’s publishing label.

The Switch release lands alongside version 1.2.0, the game’s first major content update, which is live on PC through Steam as a free download and is included in the Switch version out of the gate.
Steam currently discounts the game by 40 percent from its $13.99 price point, with the store listing the offer ending January 20. Nintendo’s US store page shows a Switch sale window with an end time of January 21.

FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS plays as a run-based card battler where each character’s turn revolves around spending cards to attack, defend, and cast magic while pushing deeper into a dungeon with a limited step budget. In the solo Labyrinth mode, runs reward new cards through fights and treasure, and card order matters because specific sequences trigger Magic Chains for extra damage. Progress is meant to be iterative, since points earned across attempts unlock amulets that carry forward into future runs.
Version 1.2.0 expands that loop in a few big ways. It raises the playable roster from five characters to ten, adding Gajeel, Juvia, Mirajane, Laxus, and Gildarts, with Gajeel and Juvia tied to clearing the ending and the other three tied to newly added content.

The patch notes call out over 170 new Magic Cards and more than 100 new skills, plus new difficulty levels for Labyrinth and Grand Clash, a Casual Mode with adjustable difficulty, a duplicate card upgrade system, and Expedition Records that log run details like Magic Chain combinations and equipped amulets for saves completed on 1.2.0 or later.
It also adds Special Labyrinth Exploration as post-story content and brings in additional bosses from the original series. FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS supports English, Japanese, French, Korean, Thai, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
