A title definitely worth keeping a close eye on, especially for fans of isometric CRPGs. I’m talking about Starfinder: Afterlight, which I introduced here not too long ago and which is sure to generate plenty of buzz for a thousand different reasons.

We’re starting to get some more information, as the developer Epictellers has introduced some of the companions that will accompany us on our journey. First is Kole, a Vesk Soldier voiced by Fred Tatasciore, who is described as an optimistic and loyal fighter who anchors his strength in camaraderie.

Alongside him is Tycho, a Ysoki Operative with a sharp eye for fairness and deal-making, brought to life by Inel Tomlinson. Here are more details.

The studio also confirmed that Neil Newbon, known for his work on Baldur’s Gate 3 and Resident Evil Village, will serve as voice director, guiding the cast to deliver original performances.

Starfinder: Afterlight

Since the launch of its Kickstarter pre-campaign in August, Starfinder: Afterlight has gained more than 20,000 wishlists on Steam and over 4,600 Kickstarter followers. The full campaign is scheduled to launch this October, with the team emphasizing its commitment to developing the game alongside player feedback.

Starfinder: Afterlight is a single-player, choice-driven CRPG set in Paizo’s Starfinder universe. Players will create their own character, recruit companions, and shape the course of the story through branching decisions.

The game combines narrative depth with tactical combat, encouraging players to build a diverse crew and navigate a galaxy full of factions, mysteries, and moral choices.

The project is being developed by a small, distributed team across Spain, who note that community involvement will remain central as the game moves forward. Below is the announcement trailer, and here is the Steam page.
