A new Kickstarter campaign has been set to support development and expansion efforts for The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian, the choice-driven narrative role-playing game that earned critical acclaim with its first chapter in the series for its morally complex storytelling and branching life paths.

Developed by Schisma Games the title originally debuted on Steam and quickly gained recognition for its unique text-based gameplay and deep philosophical themes. Now, the development team is turning to Kickstarter to fund new content, refinements, and expanded features designed to enhance the player experience for its new chapter.
Schisma Games and 101XP have locked in March 17, 2026 as the launch date for the Kickstarter campaign.
Prince Jerian already looks like a clear continuation of the political and moral weight that defined Sir Brante, though this time the perspective shifts to the top of the social order. Players take control of the crown prince of the Blessed Arknian Empire, a ruler in the making who must navigate a rigid society built on divine law, class divisions, and constant pressure from nobles, clergy, and commoners.
The game follows Jerian from childhood toward the imperial throne, with choices shaping both his character and the future of the Empire.
The March 17 Kickstarter page is expected to outline the project in full, including gameplay details, funding goals, stretch goals, and backer rewards. The game is currently listed as coming soon on Steam, where players can already wishlist it and request access to its playtest.
