Developer Sabotage Studio has announced that the turn-based RPG Sea of Stars will launch on August 29th for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation consoles. The launch date was revealed alongside the release of a playable demo of the game, available on the Nintendo eShop, that offers fans a spoiler-free look at its world, key characters, and mechanics. The demo showcases the game’s main systems, introducing players to its tone, which features pirates, puzzles, and exploration. In addition to the demo, Sabotage Studio has also released a new gameplay trailer, offering a closer look at the game’s beautifully-realized universe and its revitalization of classic RPG strengths. The trailer highlights the modern and unique take on RPG exploration, combat, and storytelling.
Sea of Stars follows the story of two Children of the Solstice, Valere and Zale, as they embark on their destiny as Solstice Warriors. Together, they use their Sun and Moon powers to cast powerful Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of defeating the monstrous creatures of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. With a stunning soundtrack, including original works by legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) and Sabotage Studio’s composer Eric W. Brown, Sea of Stars is poised to be one of the must-play games of the year.
