Remaster is the new black. Konami just joined the remastering party by announcing the upcoming releases of one of the most iconic JRPG franchises ever.
Suikoden is a turn-based fantasy JRPG released in 1995 on PlayStation, and landed in Europe two years later. The story tells the events that lead to the collapse of the Empire of the Scarlet Moon and the birth of the Republic of Toran. Suikoden II arrived on the market three years later, in 1998, and landed in Europe in 2000, is set three years after the first chapter and tells the story of two childhood friends who escaped a massacre and were forced to confront each other after being finished in different factions.
During a Konami Tokyo Game Show, they just announced that The 108 Stars of Destiny would make a big comeback with Suikoden I & Suikoden II Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars as a remaster set to be released on PC via Steam, Switch, Xbox One and Ps4 in 2023. Below is the announcement trailer.
