This week’s lineup is packed with new RPGs and some very promising strategy games. Kicking things off is HeistGeist, an RPG that puts you in the shoes of a crew specializing in heists against mega-corporations. The combat system involves card mechanics that might remind you of the typical roguelite, but this game is actually a story-driven experience with branching choices and multiple paths. It launches today, November 11, on PC via Steam.
Also dropping today in early access is a D&D-inspired RPG debuting on PC. The Adventurers offers a sandbox world, turn-based combat, and tons of quests to take on. If you’re interested, catch the first gameplay look at 3:30pm CET on my YouTube channel.
There are also two standout strategy games with release dates this week. First up is Songs of Conquest, which has been available on PC for a while, but on November 12, this Heroes of Might and Magic-inspired title makes its way to PlayStation and Xbox.
The day after, on November 13, Songs of Silence exits Early Access with a simultaneous launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. (Yes, with all these “Songs” titles, it’s easy to mix them up!) This game is one of the most visually impressive releases lately, combining turn-based mechanics for map navigation with auto-battler-style combat. Despite the auto-battler setup, you’ll have significant control over the fights—summoning units, positioning them strategically, and timing their special abilities to turn the tide.
Then, on Thursday, November 14, you’ll be spoiled for choice with three major releases: Flint: Treasure of the Oblivion, the remaster of the legendary Dragon Quest III, and a fresh new RPG titled VED. Of course, you could just go all-in and grab all three!
Flint is a captivating isometric RPG that takes you into a world of buccaneers, taverns and cursed treasures. You’ll step into the role of Flint, with combat that unfolds on hexagonal grids, featuring dice-based mechanics and a richly inspired world. On PC and consoles.
For Dragon Quest III, we’re looking at an impressive remaster with beautiful 2.5D graphics in the style of Octopath Traveler, packed with new content and even an additional class to enhance the classic gameplay, on PC and consoles.
VED, meanwhile, is a story-driven RPG that’s sure to catch your eye—and if it doesn’t, well, that’s on you! It boasts an intricate story with multiple endings, a combat system focused on lateral movement and skill combos, plus a village you can develop over time. VED wraps up Thursday’s lineup with style on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
The last title I want to highlight this week is Depths of Faveg, a retro-inspired dungeon crawler roguelite RPG. This game challenges you to make it through seven floors packed with creatures just waiting to tear you apart and spit out the bones. It’s set to release on PC on Friday, November 15. In the meantime, you can try out the demo if you’re curious.
All in all, it’s shaping up to be a pretty exciting week! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on X and on our Discord channel; plus, if you need a November recap, here it is; my courtesy. Have a great week—enjoy the games! Ciao
