Toe Bean Club, a new Strasbourg-based indie studio, has premiered the first trailer for Mirage: Miracle Quest, a turn-based RPG that blends tactical, card-driven systems with a magical-girl aesthetic.

The debut project is in development for PC with a release date still to be announced and a publisher yet to be named, and it invites players to “unleash their inner mystical energy” as they chart a life-changing journey across a hand-painted world.
Mirage: Miracle Quest is set on Andafy, a retro-inspired continent shaped by the cultures and aesthetics of Madagascar, France, and Japan.
Players step into the role of Mirage, a young exorcist whose quiet life is upended when a mysterious creature lays waste to her hometown, whispering her grandmother’s name with its final breath.
The inciting mystery propels Mirage beyond familiar borders, where she gathers a growing circle of allies and confronts a tangle of folklore, hidden histories, and personal legacy.

The studio emphasizes a warm, character-forward tone: companions are meant to feel endearing and present in both narrative beats and combat, with relationship moments that unlock tangible boosts in battle.
On the field, Toe Bean Club aims for classic, command-based encounters with deck-building features that add both structure and unpredictability.
Players customize their playstyle by collecting and equipping magic wands, accessories, and spells, then weaving those tools into synergies that shape turn order, damage spikes, mitigation windows, and setup-payoff loops.
You might engineer a wand-centric build to chain effects, slot in accessories that amplify a chosen element, or refine a spell lineup that trades early-turn tempo for late-fight inevitability. Bosses are designed to test these builds rather than brute-force stats, pushing you to adjust decks and experiment between attempts.

Progression stretches beyond combat. As Mirage travels, she builds her reputation as an exorcist within each region; higher standing opens new questlines, tougher optional encounters, and fresh gear opportunities.
Exploration is peppered with tormented spirits to guide toward peace, optional challenges tucked into towns and wilds, and discoveries that speak to Andafy’s contradictions, its whimsy set against scars left by older conflicts.
A bespoke magiculinary cooking system feeds into the same loop: learn recipes, source rare ingredients, and craft exclusive, battle-ready items that slot neatly into your evolving strategy.
Party bonds matter as much as raw numbers. Spending time with allies raises relationship levels that translate into stat bonuses, team synergies, and, at key moments, new combat options or narrative choices.

The studio positions this social layer as a way to make deck-building feel personal: a spell combo that shines with one ally in the party might be less optimal with another, nudging players to rethink lineups for different zones, bosses, or reputational goals.
Founded in 2024 by Soanja Connac and Adrien Cantone, Toe Bean Club brings together artists with experience across animation and video games, aiming for a distinctive, hand-painted look supported by approachable systems design.
The team frames Mirage: Miracle Quest as a nostalgic nod to classic RPGs that still carves out its own identity through card-inflected combat, region-based reputation, and the gentle, restorative work of exorcism.
Mirage: Miracle Quest does not yet have a release date. In the meantime, wishlist it on Steam and watch the announcement trailer.
