Good Shepherd Entertainment and developer Artificer have announced that their electrifying turn-based strategy game, Showgunners, will be released on May 2, 2023, for PC via Steam and GOG.com. The game, previously titled Homicidal All-Stars, is set on a dystopian reality TV show where players lead their squad to victory while winning the crowd’s favor to become the next champion.
Inspired by beloved action classics like American Gladiators, RoboCop, and The Running Man, Showgunners allows players to crush their enemies and become the ultimate champion. In a future society torn apart by extreme income inequality, climate change, and civil unrest, the game gives desperate competitors a shot at fame and glory, but they’ll have to survive the arena first.
Showgunners features a full single-player campaign with deep tactical combat mechanics that test the player’s skills across a variety of hand-crafted levels. Players can build their team from a range of classes, each with their own skill trees, and customize their loadouts with powerful weapons, implants, and utilities. The game also offers Twitch mode, which allows streamers to invite viewers to join the action and act as showrunners, voting in real-time on events they’d like to see in the game.

Scarlett won’t be fighting alone. As the story progresses, players will recruit new partners that can turn the tide of battle in all kinds of exciting ways. Players will need to navigate an obstacle course of deadly traps and lethal puzzles in real-time, but be prepared for an ambush at any corner.
