Last month, I wrote an article on Lost Hellden covering all the information we had up to now, and at last, we also have a brand-new Gameplay Trailer, revealed during Gamescom 2025.
Artisan Studios and publisher Kwalee unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Lost Hellden, highlighting its painterly visual style, layered combat system, and ambitious narrative.

The game, which blends real-time and turn-based mechanics, is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, and is already available to wishlist.
The trailer showcases the game’s unique Deep 2D technology, which creates a hand-painted 3D world infused with dynamic weather and lighting.
The artistic vision is further elevated by Takeshi Oga, known for his work on Gravity Rush and Siren, while the score is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, whose past credits include Final Fantasy XII and Valkyria Chronicles. Together, they set the tone for a world steeped in both atmosphere and drama.

Combat is built around a phased battle system that merges real-time movement with turn-based strategy. During the Action Phase, players can attack, maneuver, and issue commands, while the Reaction Phase allows for defensive moves like dodging, parrying, and countering.
The system supports 21 different jobs, an extensive equipment roster, elemental attributes, positioning tactics, and powerful Transcendence abilities that can shift the flow of battle. Eight playable characters are available, each highly customizable, and progression is enriched by branching skill trees and a flexible class design.
Set in the world of Era, the story follows twins Cyphel and Leht, born during a binding ritual gone wrong. In Era, every person is bound to one of the Seven Deadly Sins from birth, and resisting those urges is said to lead to eternal salvation in Hellden.

Those who give in face monstrous transformations. Cyphel is born without sin, while Leht carries all seven, a unique fate that drives the game’s central conflict.
When Leht escapes from the temple where he was hidden, Cyphel sets out to find him, joined by Arkhon mentors Gram and Enki. Their journey promises themes of self-discovery, faith, and destiny, with the entire story voiced in both Japanese and English.
Beyond its main narrative, the game offers side activities and systems that add depth to exploration. A dynamic weather cycle affects both NPC behavior and combat encounters. Hidden secrets and collectibles invite players to scour every corner of Era. There’s even a fully featured in-game card game, Hexaken, that offers a strategic diversion from the main adventure.
The trailer underscores Lost Hellden’s ambition to blend classic JRPG sensibilities with modern technology and design. No release date has been announced yet, but anticipation is already building as players can wishlist the game now across multiple platforms. Below the new Gameplay Trailer.
