A close look at all the RPGs and strategy games that debuted in recent days reveals a substantial number of them.
This week I’ve got a lot of new things to show and share with you. And yes, a bit surprisingly, besides the titles I already had on my radar, a wave of demos and some full releases dropped out of nowhere.
As usual in my Saturday roundup, we’re talking RPGs, roguelites, strategy games, and hybrids, whether that means early access launches, games leaving early access, or fresh demos. Basically, everything new that’s worth checking out and playing.
This week, there are 14 highlights in particular to go through, so let’s dive in.
Arc Seed (Out of Early Access)
- Developer: Massive Galaxy Studios
- Release date: September 17, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

The allure of super robots, or mechas, as you prefer, comes through full force in the roguelite tactical RPG ARC SEED
Players pilot customizable mechs against interstellar Archangels, where runs unfold on a destructible city grid: upgrade loadouts via deckbuilding, buy turrets and artillery, evacuate civilians, then repurpose emptied buildings as cover, or crush enemies with them.
Developed and published by Massive Galaxy Studios, it was released on PC via Steam on September 17, 2025, after an Early Access period.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 – Demo
- Developer: CyberConnect2
- Release date: September 18, 2025
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch
- Steam Page

The acclaimed third chapter of the famous JRPG series Fuga: Melodies of Steel launched just a few months ago. Still, this week the developer has released a demo, giving us the chance to see whether its adventure of anthropomorphic heroes and massive commandable super-tanks is the right fit for us.
It lets you play through Chapter 3 of CyberConnect2’s JRPG and carry your save into the full game.
It previews the revised combat with weakness combos and assist attacks, a deeper Intermission to upgrade the Taranis, and route planning with Power Spots and Akasha Panel events. The free demo launched on September 17, 2025, and is available on PC via Steam and Epic, with downloads also offered on console storefronts.
Elohim Eternal II: Son of Man
- Developer: George Alexandros
- Release date: September 15, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

Now for something purely indie, crafted by a solo developer but built on some truly intriguing ideas and inspirations, there’s Elohim Eternal II: Son of Man.
A science-fantasy JRPG set on Kenoma, a cyberpunk world on the brink of revolt. You play Judas Kerioth, a Shemerian fighting the Pleroman government, swapping between fast turn-based battles on foot and piloting an azar mech.
Progress hinges on collecting guns with unique abilities and perks, then mixing loadouts for tactical advantages. Inspired by Xenogears and Shin Megami Tensei, it’s a 15-hour self-contained story released for PC on September 15, 2025.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
- Developer: Nihon Falcom
- Release date: September 19, 2025
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch
- Steam Page

This might be the most anticipated release of the week, maybe even of the month, and for many, of the entire year.
I’m talking about Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a modern remake of Falcom’s 2004 JRPG that opens the Trails saga in the Liberl Kingdom, following Estelle and Joshua as junior bracers who stumble into a national conspiracy.
The remake adds a choice between classic turn-based battles and a new real-time action mode, HD visuals, and English/Japanese voice-overs, while keeping party growth built around orbments and quartz. It launched on September 19, 2025, for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
VIractal: World of Viractalia (E.A.)
- Developer: Sting
- Release date: September 19, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

Another noteworthy new release is definitely VIractal: World of Viractalia (Early Access), a board-game-style RPG from Sting that mixes dice-based movement with deck-building combat on procedurally generated miniature maps, where unused steps convert into DP, a resource you spend to influence events or power skills.
The Early Access build launched on September 19, 2025, supports solo and online co-op, includes achievements, and has a public roadmap promising new stages, characters, cards, and events over the next updates. Available on PC via Steam, with a demo available.
War of the Western Deep – Demo
- Developer: Sunsgrove Studios
- Release date: TBA
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

War of the Western Deep – Demo offers a slice of Sunsgrove Studios’ hand-animated adventure set in the Beyond the Western Deep universe.
To be honest, this title leans more toward the world of point-and-click adventure games than turn-based, but its combat system, with stamina management and dodging mechanics, caught my attention, so I decided to include it in my recap anyway.
In War of the Western Deep, you play as royal courier Mirren, you explore an interconnected 2D world, solve puzzles, and try a cinematic sword-duel system that asks you to dodge attacks and manage stamina.
Dialogue is fully voiced (with Samantha Béart as Mirren), and quests boost health, stamina, and weapon skill. The demo is available on PC via Steam.
Heroes Against Time
- Developer: David Vinokurov
- Release date: September 18, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

Many of you indie and turn-based fans will remember David Vinokurov for the fun yet deep tactical dungeon crawler Netherguild, a title still in development as it remains in early access.
Well, since the developer doesn’t like sitting idle, he’s decided to launch another game in the meantime, one that just debuted this week.
I’m talking about Heroes Against Time, which is an ally-drafting roguelite set in an enchanted forest where every tile is a choice.
Recruit companions with distinct abilities, stack synergies, and navigate events while a creeping magical fog presses you forward.
Runs are intentionally short, about 10 minutes once mastered, but built around scaling combos and unlockable mechanics for replay value. It launched on September 18, 2025, for PC via Steam, and I think it’s a game to try.
Lord Ambermaze
- Developer: Potata Company
- Release date: September 17, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

Another interesting title that debuted in recent days is Lord Ambermaze. A turn-based puzzle dungeon crawler from Potata Company and HeroCraft PC, where the world advances only when you move.
Set on a time-frozen island, its handcrafted rooms blend sokoban pushes, step-by-step combat, and environmental tricks against odd creatures.
Between trials, you meet locals, with optional romance, and pick up side activities like fishing and mini-games. It launched on PC on September 17, 2025, and is available on Steam and GOG.
Skygard Arena (Out of Early Access)
- Developer: Gemelli Games
- Release date: September 18, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

After an early access period, Skygard Arena debuted in its full version a few hours ago. We are talking about a fantasy turn-based tactical skirmish game where you field a squad of three Champions and tailor each with Personas and Relics.
Matches revolve around positioning, capturing objectives, collecting orbs to charge ultimates, and chaining abilities.
It offers a single-player story across five factions, a ranked and casual online PvP mode, and a chess-inspired AI with multiple difficulties. Developed by Gemelli Games and published with SpaceJazz, it launched on PC (Steam) on September 18, 2025.
Wander Stars
- Developer: Paper Castle Games
- Release date: September 19, 2025
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch
- Steam Page

Another star of the month is Wander Stars indeed. Anime-styled turn-based RPG with light roguelite elements where you craft your own attacks by combining collectible words.
Across a ten-episode adventure starring Ringo and Wolfe, you unlock 200+ Action, Modifier, and Element terms to assemble custom combos and exploit enemy weaknesses.
Developed by Paper Castle Games and published by Fellow Traveller, it launched on September 19, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
Into the Evernight
- Developer: Basoosh
- Release date: September 16, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

Another purely indie title is Into the Evernight. A retro-styled tactical RPG set after the sun has gone out, where fading wardstones keep cities alive and your choices steer branching story paths.
Battles are turn-based, difficulty adapts to the routes you choose, and progression leans on over 60 upgradeable skills plus gear that strengthens with reinforcement and use.
It’s a free-to-play RPG, developed and published by Basoosh, and released for PC via Steam on September 16, 2025.
Marisa of Liartop Mountain
- Developer: Alliance Arts, UnknownX
- Release date: September 19, 2025
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch
- Steam Page

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is another notable tabletop-style RPG debut set in the Touhou universe, where choices and dice rolls drive a branching story with multiple endings.
You play Reimu, searching for Marisa inside a mysterious book while four Scarlet Devil Mansion heroines comment on, and sometimes sway, your decisions.
Encounters and checks resolve with dice, and routes vary depending on whom you heed. It launched on September 19, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
Flick Shot Rogues
- Developer: Butter By The Fish
- Release date: September 17, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

For something quite original, Flick Shot Rogues. A turn-based tactical roguelite built around physics flick shots: you line up a move, send your hero skimming across the board, and bounce through enemies to trigger chain reactions.
Runs layer in unlockable heroes, plus items, talents, and curses that reshape builds as you try to conquer the island. Developed by Butter By The Fish and published by Noodlecake, it released for PC on Steam on September 17, 2025.
Grey Heritage: Noble Duty
- Developer: BTrain Studio
- Release date: September 15, 2025
- Platforms: PC
- Steam Page

And we’ll wrap up with an intriguing SRPG I just couldn’t leave out. Grey Heritage: Noble Duty is an anime tactical RPG and prequel to Grey Heritage: Faded Vision set in a medieval-fantasy war.
You play Jaden Ricard, a lord branded a traitor who must recruit allies and manage inventories between grid-based battles. The campaign runs about 10–15 hours with 10 playable characters, no permadeath, autosave plus a rewind for the last 10 turns, and critical attacks that inflict states.
Single-player only, developed and published by BTrain Studio, and available on PC via Steam (released September 15, 2025).
These are all the main releases from the past few days. As always, I invite you to connect with me through all my social channels, the Discord server, and the newly launched Reddit channel. See you next week. Ciao
